HMRC is phasing out the issuing of SA302s
Over the last two years the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries have been working closely with HMRC regarding the changes in how self-employed applicants evidence their income when applying for a mortgage. HMRC is phasing out the issuing of SA302s.
People who are self-employed and who are looking to purchase or re-mortgage their home will need to register to use HMRC’s self-service system to obtain a tax calculation and a tax year overview. Lenders have agreed that this is an acceptable way to evidence of income, even if this is provided via third party software. If you use Accountant to do your returns, they should be able to provide this document for you.
