When buying a property we all know that you are keen to get the keys as soon as possible, however regardless of what your estate agent may tell you, we advise not instructing a solicitor until your mortgage broker has decided which lender they are using for your mortgage.

Why? Because the solicitors you select need to be on a lender’s panel, if they are not, you would need to change solicitors – this can be a costly error especially as you’ll be the one paying. Check before you instruct.
